Traffic Ticket Jackpot No Payoff For County - Traffic School

TAMPA -- Hillsborough's finest are on track to write more than 300,000 traffic tickets this year, an unprecedented amount that has helped boost court revenue by more than $31 million, officials say.
The amount is so high, in fact, that Hillsborough County will have to skim off $5 million for those counties across the state that could not cover their court budgets, said Pat Frank, Hillsborough's clerk of the circuit court.
