Traffic tickets paying off
The Hillsborough County court system stands to make millions of dollars because deputies wrote 300,000 traffic tickets this year.The increase helped boost court revenue by more than $31 million.However, the county won't get to see all that money because it has to skim off $5 million for the counties across the state that could not cover their court budgets.Pinellas is one of the counties on the receiving end of the deal.
