"Move Over Law" not new but still unknown to Florida Drivers

In 2002, the "Move Over Law" was enacted, but to most drivers almost five years later it is still unknown. The law was passed to help save the lives of law enforcement. Florida Highway Patrol will be ticketing to make the public more aware. The "Move Over Law" requires drivers to move over one lane or slow to 20 mph below the posted speed limit any time an emergency vehicle is stopped along the side of the road. So beware and be careful.
