Watch Out $10,000 Speeding Ticket!!!

Canada recently changed its regulation, now if a car is exceeding the speed limit by 50 KPH (about 30 MPH) the driver will be charged as if they had been racing regardless of the presence of othre vehicles. This charge carries a fine of $10,000, and a jail term of up to six months and CANNOT be appealed. The Safer Roads Act states: "There is no appeal from, or right to be heard before, a vehicle detention, driver's license suspension or vehicle impoundment under the street racing subsection."
